The mission of the museum is to:
* Celebrate the wind
* Encourage cultural, environmental and family activities
* Be a resource for eastern North American kite community
* Develop opportunities for people with disabilities to fly
... and simply stated - to share joy.
Visiting the Kite Museum
Where: On Pelee Island, Canada, in the middle of Lake Erie,
if you drew a line between Detroit and Cleveland.
The museum is in the heritage centre directly across the street from
where ferry docks - so leave you car at home.
When: Museum is open the same hours of the Heritage Centre
10am to 5pm everyday, May to October.
Cost: The kite museum is free, though it there is a fee to
enter the Heritage Centre which houses the museum. The fees are:
Adults $3 Seniors $2.50 Students $2 and children under 6 are
free.
How: The museum is
located directly across from where the ferry you come on docks. Here is your

At lunch in
San Jose, California with Khaled
Hosseini, author of The Kite Runner. Khaled is signing
a few movie kites, in both languages, with the signature quote, "There
is a way to be good again".

The Kite Museum's first exhibit at Burlington, Ontario,
2007, and the site of the 2010 Historical Kite Symposium.

Author Margaret Attwood, shares a laugh with
Environmentalist Dr. David Suzuki, The Kite Museum
decorated the event with 35 silk butterfly and bird kites from 3' to
10'.
